Answering calls for emergency services.
Coordinating emergency responses.
Providing emergency medical instructions to callers.
The first question will be, "what is your location". Please provide as much information as possible, including the street number or mile marker you are near.
911 operators are trained to ask specific questions to gather necessary information for responders. Listen to the questions asked and provide as much information as possible.
If you accidentally dial 911, do NOT hang up, remain on the line and speak with the operator. Accidents happen, and if you hang up, the operator will try to call you back or send someone to check on you.
